If you are an athlete or you want to become one, you should know that the most important thing in any sport is practice! You may hear that genes or ‘’gift’’ are needed in order to be a successful athlete, but it isn’t true! People who say those things are often fail athletes, and they are looking for some excuse for their poor results. You shouldn’t pay attention to them. As said, you only need practice.
Equally important is to have a proper training. If you are making mistakes at the beginning, and you don’t correct them, when you are a professional athlete and you are under stress, you may act instinctively. This means that you will make a move that you learned at the beginning of your training. If it is wrong, you will be responsible for poor results.
You should know that any kind of sport should be about fun, so don’t act like it is some cruel and impossible life. This is good for you, because you will feel more relaxed, and when you are, your actions are better. The secret is to do what you want. Maybe it sounds weird, but athletes that have higher self-confidence are more desirable among clubs. Every athlete shouldn’t lose hope or give up from sport. It is normal that during your career you have a period in which you cannot provide some outstanding performances, but it will pass. Then, you should try to make your team or your fans proud.
Try to remember that you are a good athlete, and you can be even better if you try harder. Your performance depends only on you, so keep trying.
