We often experience pain and anxiety because of the fear we have losing some special relationships in our lives. This is especially the case with people who find it very hard to let go even when the initial chords of a relationship have been severed. It is a misconception for people to believe that if they are holding on to a dead enterprise and still hanging in there, it s a sign of great strength. However, little do they know that it takes immense strength to let go and then stick with it.

Here are some reasons why you should move on.

You have just grown apart
No matter how much you try otherwise but people tend to grow apart from you. You will notice over a period of time that they just can’t seem to correspond with what you are as a person and clash with you all the time. This is your sign to move on without causing any further damage.

Your goals have transformed
People evolve all the time. What was right back then may not be the case right now. It is not about just letting go. It is about admitting that you have now changed and must start over with this new knowledge.

You are scared
This is the most common reason why people hold on to relationships even when they are abusive. It is about facing your fears and disappointment rather than living with it because you are scared.

Holding on to an old grudge
To be stuck on the past is harmful not only for your physical health but also your mental health. Don’t hold on to the dead weight of anger and resentment. Just liberate yourself from all the wrong doing and learn to look straight ahead.
