Discover The Perils Of Hypertension And Do Your Best To Keep Away From It

Hypertension or high  blood-pressure is the situation where the blood pressure of the blood flowing in the body through the blood vessels assumes a greater index than normal. Hypertension as such is not an issue that requires any amount of medical attention, but if left untended, it can result in several other severe complications like heat disease, stroke or it can even lead to a kidney disorder.

Hypertension is broadly classified as primary hypertension and secondary hypertension. When there are no obvious causes of the development of hypertension  in the body, the situation is known as primary hypertension. Almost all cases of hypertension can be characterized as primary hypertension. Only the remaining 5-10 per  cent cases are instances of secondary hypertension. They may be a result of a disorder of the kidney or they may be because of obesity.

Certain dietary restrictions are to be imposed to control the onset and even prevalence of hypertension. Some lifestyle changes like opting for frequent walks or any other form of physical exercise can also keep hypertension at bay. Medical treatment with medications are often required when the case has gone severely out of control.

While the root cause fo incidence of hypertension remains a mystery, it is generally believed to be the combined effect of genetic and environmental factors. It is mostly found in men, although some women are also found to be hypertensive. Those suffering from obesity are at a greater risk of development of hypertension. The same applies to a number of other diseases and disorders.
